In early April 2026 Planet Labs said it would indefinitely withhold imagery of Iran and the broader conflict zone at the request of the U.S. government, applying a managed-access model and restricting images dating back to March 9. The decision, reported widely by Reuters and the Associated Press, follows an earlier temporary delay and signals closer coordination between commercial providers and national security authorities.

The market implications are closely watched.
