NOW Wallet: Perps and Prediction Markets Now Live in Wallet App

NOW Wallet announced an update that enables direct trading of perpetual futures (perps) and prediction markets inside the wallet interface, allowing users to open and manage positions without moving funds to external exchanges.

According to the wallet’s help pages and app notes, an Explore tab links users to perp providers such as Hyperliquid and to various prediction-market protocols; trades are signed in-wallet and positions remain under user custody while execution and liquidity are routed through integrated venues. The official support documentation and app listings describe the feature set and supported networks.

The move reflects a broader industry trend toward embedding advanced trading instruments into self-custody wallets. Perpetual futures already represent a large share of crypto derivatives volume, and prediction markets are increasingly intersecting with derivatives trading, which has pushed wallet developers to offer in-app access to reduce frictions for active traders.

Operationally, the wallet-based model preserves user control of private keys while enabling margining and execution via third-party liquidity providers. That hybrid approach can speed execution and simplify UX, but it also shifts certain counterparty, smart-contract and regulatory considerations onto wallet-integrated flows rather than centralized exchanges.

Market observers say wider adoption will depend on liquidity depth in integrated perp venues, the range of prediction markets offered, and how wallets handle risk controls and compliance. In the near term, expect further partnerships between wallet providers and perp/prediction platforms and close attention from traders to funding rates, slippage and settlement mechanics.
