Novo Nordisk, the Danish pharmaceutical company, has launched its groundbreaking oral Wegovy (semaglutide) pill for obesity treatment in private pharmacies across the UK, following approval by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The UK is the first country in Europe and the third globally, after the United States and the United Arab Emirates, to authorize the oral version of Wegovy.
