Meta Trial Begins: Bonta Emphasizes "Restitution and Distortion" Over Damages

(META), led by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and a coalition of states, has commenced with opening arguments in federal court in Oakland. Attorney General Bonta stated that the case is not about "extracting a massive payout, but about restitution and distortion".
