Generali, Legal & General and CVC Draw Analyst Attention
Analysts highlighted strong performance at Generali, while investor focus also turned to Legal & General and CVC Capital Partners in the latest financial services market commentary.
Recent market commentary on the financial services sector highlighted analyst views on several major European insurers and investment firms, with Generali, Legal & General and CVC Capital Partners drawing particular attention. The insights were compiled in the latest Financial Services Market Talk published by Dow Jones Newswires.
Analysts at AlphaValue said the strong operational performance delivered by Italy-based insurer Generali has remained the primary driver behind its share-price performance. According to the research note, improvements across the insurance sector combined with Generali’s solid financial position and capital strength continue to support investor confidence in the company.
Meanwhile, analysts assessing U.K.-based financial services group Legal & General noted that the company offers one of the most attractive capital return profiles among peers. However, they also suggested that the market may already be pricing in much of those expected returns, which could limit further upside potential in the near term despite the company’s appealing dividend and capital distribution strategy.
Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners also featured in the latest market commentary. Analysts said the firm’s recent update provided reassurance regarding the pace of portfolio realizations and fundraising activity heading into the end of the year. Stable exit activity and continued investor demand for private equity funds are seen as supportive factors for the firm’s outlook.
