Italian insurance giant Assicurazioni Generali reported a strong increase in profitability in its latest financial results, posting a 14.5% rise in adjusted net profit year over year. The company also announced a 15% increase in its dividend payout, highlighting its focus on shareholder returns.

The improvement in earnings was supported by solid operating performance across the group’s insurance businesses. Generali said growth in both its life insurance and property and casualty segments contributed to the stronger results, alongside diversified sources of revenue across the group.

The Trieste-based insurer has been pursuing a strategic plan aimed at strengthening profitability and increasing cash returns to investors. Management indicated that the higher dividend reflects the company’s sustainable earnings growth and strong capital position.

Generali is one of the largest insurance groups globally, operating across Europe and other international markets. In addition to its core insurance activities, the group continues to expand its asset and wealth management businesses to support long‑term growth.
