Bitcoin ETFs Approach $1 Billion in 7-Session Inflow Streak
US spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) recorded $69 million in net inflows on Wednesday, extending their consecutive inflow streak to seven sessions. Total inflows during this period have reached nearly $1 billion, indicating renewed institutional interest.
US-listed spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) have attracted approximately $1 billion in net inflows over the past seven trading days, drawing significant attention. This suggests a resurgence of institutional investor interest in Bitcoin following substantial outflows observed in previous months. With a net inflow of $69 million recorded on Wednesday, cumulative inflows since July 14 have reached $999.38 million.
This seven-day unbroken inflow streak represents a notable turnaround in the market, particularly after the strong outflows experienced in May and June. According to data from analytics firm Santiment Intelligence, US spot Bitcoin ETFs have logged seven consecutive trading days of net inflows since July 14, during which the Bitcoin price climbed as high as $66,300. Santiment noted that the last inflow streak of similar length occurred in early October 2025, when Bitcoin was approaching its all-time high near $126,000.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) has spearheaded this recovery, attracting approximately $193 million last week, following $282 million in inflows the prior week. Its total inflows for July have reached roughly $501 million, putting the fund on pace for its strongest monthly inflows since April. While Wednesday's inflows were below Tuesday's $203 million, according to SoSoValue data, the Bitcoin price managed to hold above the $66,000 level.
These developments are attributed to an improving macroeconomic outlook, expectations of easier monetary policies, cooling inflation, and stronger equity markets encouraging investors to rotate back into risk assets. Markus Levin, co-founder of XYO, stated that the consistency suggests institutions are rebuilding long-term Bitcoin exposure through regulated ETFs. However, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index, a market sentiment gauge, slipped from 33 to 31 on Thursday, reflecting a cautious sentiment.
Analysts and market observers suggest that current ETF behavior could support a rally in Bitcoin's price towards $70,000. However, firms like Santiment caution that a sudden spike in single-day inflows could indicate excessive fear of missing out (FOMO) and the formation of a local top. Crypto analyst Axel Adler pointed out that the average realized purchase price for US spot Bitcoin ETF investors is approximately $84,714, leaving investors with an average unrealized loss of roughly 22% at current prices. This implies that Bitcoin's most significant supply hurdle could emerge near the ETF cohort's realized price, where investors might choose to exit positions at breakeven after recovering from losses.
