Analysts and market observers suggest that companies must develop more sophisticated strategies for managing AI costs. It is emphasized that the mistake of managing AI as a technology expense rather than an economic system should be avoided. While some AI vendors are transitioning from seat-based subscriptions to consumption-based pricing for AI features, AI PCs running local models may offer enterprises cost predictability as cloud AI bills continue to climb. This trend underscores the importance for investors to closely monitor token prices and inference margins, as the market reconfigures, favoring hybrid model approaches for efficiency.
