Abaxx Technologies Inc. (TSX:ABXX) has announced that it will host a webcast on Monday, August 17, 2026, to discuss its second quarter 2026 financial results and provide an update on its business and market development. The company plans to release its Q2 earnings after market close on August 14, 2026. This call is crucial for evaluating the operational momentum and market position of Abaxx Commodity Exchange and Clearinghouse (Abaxx Exchange and Abaxx Clearing).

Commercial activities at Abaxx in Q2 2026 indicate an accelerating growth trend in the market. According to preliminary statements from ATB Capital Markets analyst Martin Toner, the total trading volume on Abaxx Commodity Exchange surged by a significant 276% to 888,902 contracts, up from 236,252 contracts in the first quarter. This increase was driven by Gold Singapore futures (GKS), growing interest in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) contracts, and the launch of Silver Singapore futures (SSP) on May 22. Silver Singapore futures alone generated over 105,000 contracts in June, establishing itself as a meaningful part of the company's precious metals offering.

The average daily trading volume (ADV) in the second quarter rose 3.8 times compared to the previous quarter, reaching 14,572 contracts. Average daily open interest also increased from 280 contracts in Q1 to 641 contracts. This strong momentum continued into July, with total Abaxx Exchange trading volume reaching 785,129 contracts, a 127% increase over June. Gold Singapore futures volume in July surged by 188% to 543,100 contracts, Silver Singapore futures volume rose by 80% to 190,181 contracts, and Lithium Carbonate Singapore futures (LCS) volume increased by 10% to 6,854 contracts. Abaxx Exchange also marked a significant milestone on July 1, surpassing 100,000 contracts traded in a single day for the first time.

Abaxx Technologies aims to provide market-based solutions to global challenges such as energy transition and the AI-augmented economy through its financial software and market infrastructure. The company operates as a Recognized Market Operator and Approved Clearinghouse licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. By building a cloud-native commodity futures exchange on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Abaxx has reduced infrastructure costs by 35% and seamlessly managed a tenfold increase in platform traffic during its launch week.

Analyst expectations suggest that Abaxx's commercial momentum will continue. Martin Toner of ATB Capital Markets maintained an “Outperform” rating and a $115.00 price target for Abaxx. Toner anticipates the company to report a negative Adjusted EBITDA of $55.4 million on revenue of $16.2 million in fiscal year 2026, improving to a positive Adjusted EBITDA of $12.8 million on revenue of $90.3 million in fiscal year 2027. Although the company reported a net loss of CAD 20 million in Q1 2026, its revenue is projected to grow by an average of 53% annually over the next three years.
